Trio Fatale

About Us

Trio Fatale is a young, passionate, and adventurous ensemble with the unique instrumentation of piano, soprano, and trumpet.

Our programs range between tradition and innovation: we perform works from various eras, but place a particular emphasis on compositions by FLINTA+ composers and rarely performed repertoire in order to give greater visibility to their music.

Our Artistic Identity

We see ourselves not just as a trio, but as an equal ensemble in which every voice plays a vital role.
Our programs are born from a desire to experiment with our unique instrumentation: alongside trio works, we also incorporate duo and solo repertoire, creating a wide variety of musical experiences and allowing music to be heard in new

This courage to forge our own path was recognized in 2024 with the 1st Prize at the “Stimme PIUS” competition — an acknowledgment that inspires us to further refine our artistic identity and continue to surprise our audience time and again.

Pauly Krüger – Soprano

Pauly Krüger (pauly/they) is a soprano and performance artist from Essen, with a strong focus on feminist music practice.
After studying with Prof. Ines Krome at the University of Music in Münster, Pauly has been working at the intersection of classical singing and interdisciplinary art forms.

Coming from a choral tradition, Pauly discovered a passion for art song and solo concert repertoire during their studies, while maintaining a deep love for ensemble performance.

As a member of Trio Fatale (winner of the “Stimme PIUS” competition in 2024) and projects such as S.T.I.M.M.E and Follow her Lied!, Pauly uses their voice as both an artistic and political medium.

Moray Bittner – Trumpet

Moray Bittner (mo/ray/-), who grew up in Heuerßen near Hanover, discovered a love for music early on in an evangelical brass band. Lessons with Hartmut Grün laid the foundation for Moray’s artistic path, which was further developed at the University of Music in Münster (class of Guido Fröhlich). Since 2025, Moray has been studying Performance as a major subject.

Moray’s work revolves around the search for new ways to connect sound and expression — whether through trumpet performance, interdisciplinary projects, or the podcast spectrum session.

As part of Trio Fatale, Moray was awarded 1st Prize at the “Stimme PIUS” competition in 2024, and has since combined curiosity and a passion for sonic exploration with a strong desire to share these experiences with others.

Mariana Ribeiro – Piano

Mariana Ribeiro, a pianist from Portugal (she/her), completed her Bachelor’s degree in Porto and continued her studies with a Master’s degree at the University of Music in Münster. Her musical career has been shaped by competition successes, festival appearances, and solo engagements with orchestra.

A particularly formative experience was her work in 2022 as a piano teacher and educational advisor in São Tomé and Príncipe (Africa) as part of the RIZOMA Project. This experience left a lasting impact on her artistic development.

Today, she is passionately dedicated to chamber music and piano pedagogy — and finds in Trio Fatale a platform to fully express and deepen this passion through close artistic collaboration.
